Hey guys!

As of tomorrow, I will be on Vacation! So I wont be scheduling any consultations or answering emails. You are welcomed to email me and/or call and leave a message. I will get back to you as soon as my vacation is over.

To recap: Vacation is from May 14 through May 21. Email me and I will contact you back as soon as possible!

After vacation is over, I will be announcing a sort of contest freebie. I’ve been so swamped with weddings and I miss all of you and your little ones! I know, I really don’t blog enough these days! I’m trying to remedy that with new topics and subjects, it’s just a slow season for portraits, and I’m just scheduling a lot of weddings and wont be shooting them for another month or two, once it warms up some!

You get 2 hours (or generally more, knowing me!) of on-location photography for $100 (50% off my traditional portrait pricing)
With a minimum order of $150, you get a $50 credit. (So basically, you pay $100 for $150 of prints.)

Also, if you’d like a little something extra, I’ll throw in 3 absolutely adorable accordion albums if you place an order for $200 or more!

Hey everyone!

Happy November! It’s been too long. Last Saturday I shot a wedding with Laura at Laura Bailey Photography. I LOVE her and love working with her! On that note, we have a very big announcement to make!

Laura and I will be adding several new packages to our Wedding Packages. They will be announced in 2010, and will feature packages with an option for a second photographer. These will be ‘Laura + Amber’ packages! I am very excited to be working with her on a regular basis and I hope you will enjoy these new package options in 2010.

casting call

I posted a casting call a couple of months ago and received a great response from it! However, I am still looking for a couple of other models before I am done. I am looking for:

- 1 pregnant momma between 28-36 weeks
- 1 baby boy who is about to celebrate his first birthday
- infant/toddler twins (preferably girls!)
- a newborn under 14 days old

Participants will receive a session at a discounted price (65% off) as well as a 20(up to 40 photos) page leatherbound album with an order of $99 or more.

This offer is first come/first serve. I will update when I have filled the remaining slots.

Happy Wednesday!

I think I’ve been teasing everyone about this contest for long enough, I’ve decided to just go for it and announce a huge contest Amber Rhodes-Lapoint Photography will be running now through August 3, my birthday! It’s super huge because I am giving away a free wedding package to one lucky bride and groom. Please share this with anyone you know who is getting married!

Basically, contact me and schedule your engagement session. My session fee will be at a low-low $99 for the engagement session for a brief time. After our session I will post my favorite photo on here, and all of YOU will vote for your favorites!

I am also looking for some laughs and that means I want your best TRUE story about how you met your fiance, how you became engaged, or when you knew for sure you’d met “the one”. The better the story and the more I laugh the more points you score. After your engagement session, I will also post your stories for everyone to read and comment on. The story with the highest score from me and my hubby, and the session photo with the most votes will receive the contest prizes!

We (Amber and Dan) will be judging entries as they come in. We will each have up to 10 points to award. Entries should be emailed to amber@ambertakesphotos.com by August 3 . We will post stories throughout the month so even if you don’t share a story check back often for some good laughs.

Grand Prize (Value $900)
Unlimited Wedding Day Photography

Runner Up (Value $205)
A complimentary bridal session, (bride and) groomal session, or Trash the dress session. Your choice!

Contest Rules

1. All entries must be true and must be your story! Keep it clean too please. Your submission gives us permission to post your story on our blog or other locations. If we choose to post your story we will credit you for it.

2. All entries and engagement sessions must be booked and received by midnight on August 3rd. Please be sure to include your name, phone number, email address and wedding date.

3. Contest is for new clients only, sorry to all of my current clients, I love you too!

4. All prizes are awarded based on photographers availability.

5. Grand Prize is for unlimited wedding day photography only. All other additions will be billed at full price.

6. Prizes will be awarded to the selected winners and have no cash value. No exceptions or exchanges for items.
